Our greatest fear is we are inadequate; we are powerful beyond measure because the light within shines so bright. There is no need to play small because someone else is uncomfortable – be the best person that you can be.
Marianne Williamson is one of my favorite inspirational authors that touch the core … it’s the WORD behind her words:
“How Dare We Not”
Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, or just fabulously talented?” Actually, how dare you not?
You are a being of brilliance. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. We were born to manifest the wonderment of the gift that is within us. It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. And as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence liberates others.
Fear cripples even the strongest warrior but he still presses on. We have to work the muscles that hurt to see results. How Dare We Not!
