Why is it always so hard to write about yourself but it is so easy to write about other folk?
Ok; here goes. My name is Patricia Newton and I decided to create a blog to share some of my views which tend to vary as the years continue to offer challenges, experiences, and opportunities.
Who I am is a Women who loves the idea of Sisterhood and Service; reaching back and sharing as well as learning from the young and old. Guess it all stems from me being an only child and wanting to have a sibling or two; not that I am complaining because I have gained a few sisters and brothers over the years. I am also a mother of one child the irony of that only child having one child; I digress. I am an author; adjunct professor, consultant and so much more.
My mentor my mom is the eldest of ten; migrated to New York from North Carolina to pursue her college degree instilled the importance of education at a young age; “get an education, you need a college degree”. So with that in mind I obtained my undergraduate degree in Business Administration and MBA in General Management.
Never in a million years would I have imagined that I would be writing a blog and sharing it out loud to real people because I am extremely shy – just saying not Ms. Pat the conservative, professional one.
What I have learned is that we are never alone in our experiences and sometimes we need to tell our story to help others learn to laugh out loud at their own form of Crazy.
