Why did I feel the need to send an e-mail at 4:34 a.m.? What was I thinking? What will he think of me, other than me being a complete fool? I thought, after I hit the send button on my Blackberry: love will make you do some crazy things, or is it really love? I remember reading in the Bible about love being patient, kind never rushed, and so on. I know my actions were none of the above all the time, but you cannot tell a woman that after she has given up the goodies in the cookie jar when she knows she should have taken her grandmother’s advice about keeping her skirt down and her legs closed.
Divorced, single mother, and manless: is that such a bad thing in this day and age? Why do we feel we have to put up with stuff just for the sake of having someone in our lives for companionship? Shouldn’t we love and respect ourselves more as women? Some of the questions I find myself asking: is there really someone out there for me, that truly gets me, and that is not afraid of a strong woman? I have found it does not matter if you are black, brown, white, yellow, or pink; women go through the same stuff, but for some reason we think that color separates us from the drama; not! Game is game anyway you play it. So, please join me on my journey of what I have learned about the various stages of transforming into a beautiful woman much like the ugly duckling that turned into the beautiful swan.
In my thinking, we want what we want. We at times don’t look at the big picture until things get out of hand. Praise be to God that some of us do wake up and recognize what our purpose on earth is and start to live accordingly. Being Obedient and letting the Holy Spirit lead and guide you is the only way.
I do believe this is the making of a best seller cousin!

“Shouldn’t we love and respect ourselves more as women?” the Depth and breadth of this question is one I’ve constantly asked myself and of the women I’ve come to know throughout the years. The short answer and one that I think all of us will resound is “YES”. Then why is it not so? What’s missing? What’s left unfulfilled?
Proud to see you’ve taken this step, being vulnerable requires strength and will lead to some amazing things in your life. Continued Blessings…
Ok cousin…I definitely feel you on this. The immediate question that comes to mind is what do women need to validate them, what makes us complete? Will definitely follow this blog!!!
The article was very enlightening as it is indicative to what so many women have experienced. I’m sure the book is more than inspiring.
